Corinne Lewis - District Classified Employee of the Year Traci Valade - AES Certificated Employee of the Year

Corinne helped open Alpine Elementary as a K-5 school in 1990 and is the first person you will meet when coming into the office.  She is the perfect person to give the first impression of our school.  She is known by every student and most parents as always personable and upbeat.  Her job entails endless detail and correct procedure and many come to her for advice.  The annual yearbook, our monthly awards program, hundreds and hundreds of photographs which include almost every event and child, a tour guide for new students, the one you come to with your “late excuse” the tooth fairy’s best friend, the site investigator for any unanswered question, and the one who always has a smile and a genuine desire to make your day the best that it can be, summarized this years District Classified Employee of the Year.


Traci Valade came to AES as her first teaching assignment and is now in her 14th year with us.  Her dedication and intelligence, paired with her teaching experience has combined to make her a very popular teacher with students, parents and staff.  She has a great rapport with her students who always put their best foot forward and strive to please.  Student academic performance is high and the 5th grade team work well together to provide an enriching, stimulating and fulfilling program each year.  Mrs. Valade serves on district and school committees to represent her team members and school.  Her recognition is well deserved and unanimously supported by the Alpine Elementary community.
